Based on an evaluation of the candidate's application and some detailed background checks, there was some pretty solid evidence of a poor work record. But again, mistakes in communications created a problem. There was an e-mail exchange between city employees claiming the individual should not be interviewed because of a lawsuit and documented credit problems.
Comment: Actually best made by at attorney: "People continue to think that they can put things in e-mail messages that ehy would never put on a formal document." That says it!
